Our Product Range
Purdys of Southampton specialises in vintage restored and unrestored Vespas and Lambrettas - which are sourced in Europe, mainly in Spain and Italy, where we have extensive contacts. As well as the scooters, we stock a range of quality budget-priced tyres and a selection of spares - both new and 'new old'. If we don't have a part on the shelf, we are able to order it in for you.
Our Services
We have a fully functioning workshop and three experienced mechanics on hand to undertake all repair work, including welding of bodywork and welding to repairs. Please note, our workshop rate is £35 per hour, plus VAT. We also offer a registration service if this is necessary for the scooter that you purchase from us.
We are also able to advise on your restoration projects and we are happy to undertake complete restorations ourselves - do come in for a chat about your requirements. We are now able to offer finance - please ask us for more details.
We now offer an MOT service for your scooter or motorcycle. This means that we really will be able to offer you everything for your scooter or motorcycle under one roof.
All of our scooters, motorcycles, tyres and spares can be viewed at our premises in Southampton and are also available by mail order and can be couriered to you at a reasonable cost.
Purdys - Your World on Two Wheels
As you can see - we aim to provide everything for the two-wheel rider under one roof. We cater for all tastes and experience levels - from bikes requiring restoration to those that are ready to ride - all of which come with the nostalgia factor. Not only that, but we provide all the ancillary services such as tyres, spares, workshop services, assistance with restorations, full restorations and MOT testing. We endeavour to live up to our slogan : 'Your World on Two Wheels'.
We are in the process of opening a new showroom as an extension to our existing premises. This is now open to the public, although still undergoing refurbishment, with an open weekend scheduled for 27 and 28 March. All will be welcome - plenty of parking available.
Do come in and meet us and see for yourself what we can offer. We have a coffee bar which is always open - you are welcome to come along for a coffee and a chat with no obligation to purchase anything else from us.
We are open seven days a week (please see our 'Contact Us' page for opening times). If these times are not suitable for you, we can remain open either side of these hours if required. |
